The manor house and park in Bežanec are not far from Pregrada, on a small hill near the stream of Plemenščina from which there is a view of Kostel valley.
The house was built in the eighteenth century as a two-storey building with four wings surrounding an inner courtyard. The manor is a first-category monument. It is approached through a ninety-metre-long avenue of boxelder (Acer negundo) planted after 1911. Today there is a five-star hotel within the castle.
